Mott, Top Gas Champion '07
This will be my 7th year racing with Supertwins, having raced in Street, Modified and Gas classes.
Won the Gas Championship last year, 2007, with a PB of 9.10 in the semi's at the National Finals.
Racing in Gas again in 2008 with a new Keith Baker www.classiccycleworks.com paint job, thanks very much to Keith for his continued support.
Crew are Gavin Cupit and my wife Yvonne, and with their help and hard work our aim is to get into the 8's in 2008!
Bike is a Harley-Davidson V-Rod in a lightweight frame built by Dave Branch Engineering, thanks to Dave for this and his work on an off board starter system he built this winter, which will save a bit more weight this year.
The engine still has stock V-Rod cases, but has been bored and stroked to 1620cc, developed extensively over the last 5 years, last time was on a dyno it showed 188hp.
I seem to swap between after market heads and the stock ones on a regular basis (a bit too regular! - usually the middle of the night in the pits), but the good old stock heads save the day and the bike has run its best numbers using them!, so were sure there's more to come.
