Bob Cornforth (aka Brit-Iron Bob, aka Phatt Bob)
52 years old, married, two grown up daughters, 3 dogs, 2 cats living in Cheshire
Diehard Triumph fan, been racing since 1986 mostly with Supertwins and Straightliners on an 850 Triton,
best time 11.6 @ 118,
best flyer speed 134 mph.
First win Ultimate Streetbike comp - 4 stroke twin class in 1988 on the Triton.
About 50 wins or placings over the period at sprints etc, notably runner up at the 1992 European drag bike championship (the last time a Britbike won anything there!) and a couple of current records at Hoghton Tower and Blackpool Sprints.
Sold the Triton and graduated to nitrous Daytona 1200 for a few years (the first Hinckley into the 10s), recently retired to being my road bike, now racing this T140.
Personal best on this bike 12.07 @ 107 looking for low 11s, but probably dial in 11.9. Best flyer speed 139.6 mph (7 mph short of the land speed record for a pushrod twin!).
Organising a Bonneville Salt Flats style speed weekend in the UK for 650/750 Triumph twins in 2009 to celebrate 50 years of the Triumph Bonneville.
