Website Updates for the Coming Weeks
In the coming weeks we will be doing a structural change to the NAST website, with the intention of making it more usable by all members of NAST (even those that might think they aren't really computer literate), and helping to strengthen our club's community.
These changes are going to take time, and will be introduced in lots of little phases throughout the coming months.
You may have noticed that currently we have implemented a basic change to the look and feel of the site, and have cut down what is available to an absolute minimum at the moment to allow us to get-by whilst we do some of the more complicated changes in the background.
We had not intended to get to this point for a few weeks, but sadly a disagreement regarding the Intellectual Property Rights of the old site's content has forced us to waste time on making this a Stop-Gap website, taking some time from the development of the new community website.
During this time we will only be adding really important news to the NAST and Les Harris websites, to allow us to focus on bringing even some of the basic new working mechanisms to NAST as soon as we can.
Please be patient with us during this time! More information will be announced nearer the time, hopefully of great interest to many of you that are club minded.
An Important Update Regarding Race Rounds for 2009!
We have got a very full calendar this year, with 7 ACU championship rounds spread across both Santa Pod and Shakespeare County Raceway, of which 6 count towards your final score.
This is an increase of 1 additional race from the previously announced 6 championship rounds!
What is NAST?
NAST is the National Association of Super Twins, an organisation dedicated to the Drag Racing of Single-engined Twin Cylinder Motorcycles in the UK.
We run in a National Championship each season at the two main UK Drag Raceways, Shakespeare County Raceway and Santa Pod.
SuperTwins was formed in 1993 focused purely on the racing of Twin Cylinder Motorcycles, out of a passion for that particular type of motorcycle. We currently have bikes ranging from a 250cc Street Bike, to an over 2000cc Nitro burner Top-Fuel Bike! Any make or model of Twin Cylinder Motorcycle is welcome in the club!
Do I need to be a Racer to join?
Super Twins is a club for people passionate about the racing of Twin Cylinder Motorcyles, and is not only for Racers! We also have Associate Members that support the club and attend events, both social and race, throughout the year.
What do I need to do to become a NAST Racer?
- First thing would be to talk with one of us to discuss what you would like to do, and we'll take it from there.
- Then we would ask you to download, print, fill in and return a copy of the Membership Application Form to the Club Secretary at the given postal address.
